Can anyone answer whether the token drop frequency seen in 2008 (2007) was the same as is seen today?

Can anyone verify whether the token drop frequency in 2008 (2007) was similar to the candy cane drop frequency seen just 1 month ago? Would answer a lot of (my) questions.

I don't suspect a nerf - rather, I think it was always this crappy... My calculations are suggesting a best-rate 5k/hour addl plat from token drops (farmed or quested)... That's in the noise of normal hourly farm rates for merch trash...

They never droped that much. Fastest way always was and remains to be to do all the quests over and over on all your characters. You can easily get several stacks in a few hours.
